R5A - International NGO Employment Visa
The R5A International NGO Employment/Work Visa is a Multiple Entry Temporary Residence Visa (TRV) for foreigners employed in International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) operating in Nigeria. This two-year renewable visa introduced in the Nigeria Visa Policy 2020 is only obtainable through the Nigerian Mission : Embassy, High Commission or Consulate.
Eligibility
Only foreign expat who has been employed in a recognized International NGO operating in Nigeria.
Requirements
- MoU Letter from the Nigeria National Planning Commission or Relevant Agency
- Copy of INGO Registration Documents.
- Employment Letter/Offer/Contract to the Applicant
- Letter/Note of Acceptance of Employment by the Applicant
- Formal R5A Application by the Employing INGO to the CGI
(Must indicate Acceptance of Immigration Responsibilities) - Educational Qualification(s) with Attestation of the original copy(s)
(Duly attested by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and/or Education Ministry of Applicant’s country) - Curriculum Vitae in English language
- Travel Document valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank pages
- Printout of completed Online Visa Application form.
- Printout of the Online Payment Acknowledgement slip.
- Two (2) recent Passport sized (35/40mm) Photograph.
- Any other requirement of the Nigeria Consular Mission.

The period between the date visa is issued and when applicant can enter Nigeria.
