Under the new Nigeria Visa Policy 2020, the Spouse of Accredited Diplomat Visa is a Multiple Entry Temporary Residence Visa issued to wife or husband of R1A Visa holder to accompany them to reside in Nigeria for the duration of principal applicant's diplomatic assignment. This R1B visa class is only obtainable through the Nigerian Embassy / High Commision or Consulate abroad.

Eligibility

  • Spouse of Accredited Diplomat Only
    • Wife / Husband of Ambassador, Consul, Attaché or other accredited diplomat to Nigeria in official capacity

Requirements

  • Valid International Passport with at least 2 blank pages. 
  • Letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nigeria.
  • Note Verbale from Foreign Ministry of Applicant home country. 
  • Copy of Marriage Certificate (Evidence of Spousehood).

  • Printout of completed Online Visa Application from.
  • Printout of the Online Payment Acknowledgement slip. 
  • Two (2) recent Passport sized (35/40mm) Photograph.
  • Any other requirement of the Nigeria Consular Mission
