Notice to Nigerians

Tripoli : Appointment Dates For 2nd Passport Intervention Exercise 2021

The Embassy wishes to inform all Nigerians residing in Libya that second passport intervention excercise will be held from 14th November 2021 to 14th December 2021. In order to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise and considering the difficulty and risk involved for those coming from remote areas, the registration and data capturing will be held in accordance with the following arrangements:

4 GARYAN & TARHOUNA 60 25th - 28th November, 2021
5 ZAWIYYA & ZUWARA 60 29th - 30th November, 2021
6 MISRATA 60 1st - 2nd December, 2021
7 BENGHAZY/SABHA 60 5th - 7th December, 2021
8 GENERAL 60 8th, 9th, 12th, 13th and 14th December, 2021

 

The affected Nigerians are advised to strictly adhere to their dates of appointments and reach out to their respective Nigerian community leaders to arrange for the journey to Tripoli with at least 60 Nigerians. 

Please, take note of the requirements and the following cost implications for issuance of passport and come with it accordingly; 

  • Fresh Passport: $106 
  • Renewal of Passport: $106 
  • Loss of Passport: $137 
  • Changing of data: $137 
  • Children: $77

 


 

The Requirements for Issuance of Passports are: 

  • Sixty (60) Libyan Dinar as administrative charges 
  • One passport size photograph for the application form 
  • Fresh application: (Birth certificate and Local Government Indigene letter) 
  • Renewal: (copy of expired passport data page) 
  • For lost passport: (Police report/court affidavit and lost passport data page)
  • For Minor (copies of both parents' passports) 
  • Change of data/Change of name due to marriage: Affidavit/newspaper advert for change of name/data.

The prices are as follows: (for 32-page passport) 

  • Minor:

$77 USD Dollars

  • Adult:

$106 USD Dollars

  • Change of Data:

$137 USD Dollars

  • Lost passport (Adult/Minor):

$137 USD Dollars

  • Change of name due to marriage:
$106 USD Dollars

 

The Embassy urges all Nigerians to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 prevention measures such as wearing of mask and observing of social distance thoughout the exercise period.
